Beijing Institute of Nanoenergy and Nanosystems (BINN) (www.binn.cas.cn), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), was jointly established by CAS and Beijing Municipality in February, 2012. BINN has moved to Huairou Science City in October, 2020. BINN is the first research institution to move into Huairou Science City.
BINN is a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary research organization engaged in research on nanoenergy and self-powered systems. Its current research activities concentrate mainly on fundamental research and application of nanogenerator, piezotronics and piezo-phototronics and micro-nano systems. BINN attaches great importance to industrialization and some products have been put into the market.
At present, BINN has a high-level scientific team of more than 170 researchers, the original disciplines including piezoelectric electronics, piezoelectric optoelectronics, nanogenerators, self-powered sensing systems, ocean blue energy, new high-voltage power supply. In terms of graduate students’ education, BINN has five Doctoral subjects, including condensed matter physics, physical chemistry, materials science, nano science and technology (partial biology or partial chemistry); There are seven Master's subjects in condensed matter physics, physical chemistry, materials science, material engineering, ecological physics, nano science and technology (partial biology or partial chemistry).
At present, more than 80 countries and regions, more than 1500 research units and nearly 12000 people are doing nanoenergy, nanosystems and the relevant research in the world. BINN has launched two international brand conferences: "International Conference on Nanoenergy and Nanosystems" (NENS) and "International Conference on Nanogenerators and Piezoelectronics" (NGPT).
中国科学院北京纳米能源与系统研究所(简称纳米能源所)是中国科学院和北京市共建的新型科研单元(详细情况请浏览:http://www.binn.cas.cn)。2012年2月,中国科学院北京纳米能源与系统研究所正式开始筹建。2018年5月17日,北京市与中国科学院正式签订共建纳米能源所协议书,同年11月被纳入北京市支持建设世界一流新型研发机构建设名单。纳米能源所已于2020年10月整建制搬迁至怀柔科学城,研究所成为科学城建设以来首个整建制迁入的研究机构。
纳米能源所定位是以纳米能源与微纳系统核心技术为研发目标,在压电电子学、压电光电子学及纳米发电机等相关领域开展基础和应用基础研究;以重大原始创新为驱动,以自驱动微纳系统等重大核心技术突破及其在传感网络、环境基础设施监测、便携式电子产品、健康医疗等领域的应用为牵引,带动相关技术的转移转化与产业化。研究所高度重视产业化工作,产业化工作不断取得突破,目前部分产品已经投入市场。
研究所成立以来,在纳米能源与自驱动系统研究领域居国际领先和引领的地位。目前研究所拥有一支包括2名院士在内的170余人的高水平科研队伍,拥有原创的学科(压电电子学、压电光电子学)和原创的核心技术(纳米发电机、自驱动传感系统、海洋蓝色能源、新型高压电源)。在研究生培养方面,研究所设有凝聚态物理、物理化学、材料学、纳米科学与技术(偏生物)、纳米科学与技术(偏化学)等五个博士专业;设有凝聚态物理、物理化学、材料学、材料工程、生态物理学、纳米科学与技术(偏生物)、纳米科学与技术(偏化学)等七个硕士专业。
纳米能源所在本领域处于国际研究领头羊地位,目前全世界80多个国家和地区、1500多个研究单元、近12000多人在做相关研究。研究所发起了两个国际性的品牌会议,即“纳米能源与纳米系统国际会议”(NENS)和“纳米发电机与压电电子学国际会议”(NGPT),第六届NENS2023在2023年6月在北京召开。
